Posted on June 14, 2016 at 1:25 AM

Emmy voters and fans: Online voting for the 2016 Emmys is now open. The Television Academy didn't issue a press release announcing the short list of VFX entries for nomination voting. These 30 shows were picked from over 70 entries, by the Peer Group Executive Committee, as representing the highest standards of visual effects work this year.

Television Academy voters - Here are the instructions to watch the entries, and access your ballot. The deadline to vote is June 27 at 10PM PT:

-------------------------------------------

There are two categories for our peer group: Outstanding Special Visual Effects, and Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting role.

Step 1:

To see the videos for each category, including "Making of" examples, go toTelevisionAcademy.com/judging/sve

While there, you will also see a link where you can view written supplemental material provided by the entrants. It is crucial that you view the videos and read the documents before casting your ballot. The Emmy is awarded for an individual episode, and not a season's body of work. Therefore, you need to see the visual effects from these specific episodes for comparison.

Step 2:

After viewing the videos, you can access the online ballot here:

vote.TelevisionAcademy.com

In both cases, you will need to log in with your Television Academy member username and password. Some members prefer to have both windows open at the same time so they can review the video while they vote. In each category, there are 15 entries, and you will vote for the five entries that you believe are most deserving of an Emmy nomination.
