Some of you may have heard that I am running again for the positon of Governor of the Special Visual Effects peer group of the Television Academy. If you are a member, here is why I would like you to vote for me:

Be prepared. Be very prepared.

We are in the middle of the 5th anniversary of the Station Fire, and this reminded me that I should do a blog about being prepared for emergencies. So here goes.


For those who don't know, the Station Fire raged through Los Angeles county Aug. 26 – Oct. 16, 2009, and burned 161,189 acres. On August 30, it set a record by covering 50,000 acres in one run.
